We all praise the importance of living close to nature. Are we really following it? Nature has a balance. Both physical as well as functional. When we try to disturb the balance, nature reacts, quite naturally! When there is natural disasters like flood, landslide, storms and even volcano eruption, we defend those with this 'man made imbalance' theory. Then how about the microbe attacks? Humans believe that the earth and its resources are made for him and only for him! And it is a social belief too. Every individual also believe that the resources on the earth is only for him. They do all possible means to prevent the equal distribution or sharing of these natural resources even to their fellow beings. In fact, humans deny space for others to exist.
Scientists too sometimes behave as blindfolded. They ignore the importance of providing a space for all. This 'all' includes all the living things at least.
And not only the external environment is disturbed by the human activities, one's own body is more affected by the kind of life Humans have. The habitual trends in food, activities and other lifestyle are too much to disturb the natural functional balance of the individual. We have a friendly biological ecosystem in our body which helps us to remain healthy. If our activities are not supporting this balance, we fall ill and ill forever.
Ayurveda is always a science of maintaining homeostasis. Its principles focus on bringing back the balance both functional and structural. This balance is achieved by corrections made in the food, activities, thoughts and behaviour. The first two (food & activities) are for physical balance and the last two (thoughts and behaviour) are for mental and emotional balance.
Yes. Let us focus on healthy ways to maintain the balance of nature for health and longevity.
